This includes correcting or avoiding malnutrition. Also, a lack of vitamins (such as vitamin C), trace elements (such as zinc, iron) or protein has a detrimental effect. If the deficiency can not be compensated by means of nutrition, appropriate substitute supplements from the pharmacy can help.

In addition to malnutrition, severe obesity can interfere with the healing process of wounds.

The same applies to dehydration (due to external influences, but also due to insufficient drinking), cold, foreign bodies in the wound, certain medications (cortisone-containing drugs, cytostatics) as well as allergic reactions to the suture material or locally applied preparations.

Do you want the Accelerate wound healing, you should also abstain from active and passive smoking. It reduces the blood circulation in the tissue, which slows down the healing process.
